The Vickers 498 Viking 1A. Brooklands centenary book project

The Vickers 498 Viking 1A at Brooklands. The Viking was developed as a transport aircraft from the 2nd World war Wellington bomber and as Britain’s first post war airliner, it played an important role in the development of civil aviation.
Ron was commissioned for a book project to photograph almost the entire historic collection of cars, aircraft and motorcycles at Brooklands museum in Surrey. Taking nearly a year to complete, the complete collection of images are now published as a special book, “100 Years of Brooklands” the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation.
