Californian Ghost Town
Californian ghost town of Bodie.
I entered images from my recent Californian shoot around Gold rush country into the 15th Association Awards.
The particular set of images were all taken in a ghost town I’d discovered while driving through California on the route I’d chosen. It was literally a ghost town! complete with disused mine works, general store, buildings, wagons and old cars.
Everything all just left as it was when the entire population left. I had an amazing day just wandering around exploring this incredible historic place.
I shot everything in Black & white and had them printed traditionally by Adrian Ensor in London. Happy to say the shots were selected and I received Silver and Merit awards for them. I’ve shown the pictures here and reproduced in the book.
